Being successful in sales requires a two-pronged approach. First, you must work on sales skills. Everybody talks about that, and rightly so. We must work fervently to develop our sales skills.
But, as we develop sales skills, we must also develop and improve our mindset. Awareness of the way we think is paramount to long-term success.
An immediate application of this principal relates to the way we think about and handle problems. Do we sit and just stew over them and not take action? Do we procrastinate and hope they will just go away? Do we feel we don’t have the knowledge to deal with them so we do nothing?….Maybe all of the above!
Ignoring problems and thinking inaction is ok if you don’t know what to do is acceptable, is not ok! Problems just get worse if we don’t intervene. This is where you start thinking differently.
Instead of inaction, we must take fierce action and attack the problem. Do what you must to figure out how to attack it and solve it. And, do it now!
